On Friday February 17 at 01:33 Wetaskiwin RCMP responded to an armed robbery at a gas station in Millet.

A male holding a hunting knife demanded cash and cigarettes and ran out of the store with a small amount of each.

It is believed that the male suspect had a pistol tucked into the waistband of his pants, however, it was not used in the robbery.

There was no injury to the store employee.

The suspect male fled on foot, then got into a vehicle parked north of the gas station.

The suspect is described as:

- Caucasian, skinny and tall
- Wearing a black jacket with a hood, black gloves, and a green bandana covering his face
- Wearing tan coloured pants and running shoes
- Carrying a hunting style knife, and a pistol in the belt of his pants

There is no description of the vehicle available.

Wetaskiwin RCMP are asking for public assistance in identifying the male.
