From the Wetaskiwin and Camrose RCMP:

On April 29th, 2020 at approximately 7:40 a.m. Wetaskiwin/Camrose RCMP were called to a rural property north of Camrose AB for a suspicious truck on the property.  When the RCMP arrived, they located three people on the property trying to get a truck they were using out from being stuck. All three peoples gained access to the property via a locked gate that they had broken through. The three people were arrested without incident and are facing numerous charges.

During the search of the vehicle and occupants, 11 grams of methamphetamine, various drug paraphernalia, a .22 calibre rifle, and various stolen property were recovered.

Wetaskiwin RCMP are still working on identifying owners for some of the property.  

As a result of the investigation, the following charges have been laid against three individuals:

Gilles Robert Wanderingspirit (20) of Edmonton, AB:

  • Break and enter with intent
  • Possession of break-in instruments
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
  • Possession of a firearm knowing possession unauthorized
  • Failing to comply with probation order
  • Possession of methamphetamine

Trevor Michael FOY (42) of Edmonton, AB:

  • Break and enter with intent
  • Possession of break-in instruments
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
  • Possession of a firearm knowing possession unauthorized
  • Possession of methamphetamine

Alannah Lee Seneca-Mcdonald (27) of Sherwood Park, AB:

  • Break and enter with intent
  • Possession of break-in instruments
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Careless use of a firearm
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
  • Possession of a firearm knowing possession unauthorized
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of property obtained by crime for the purpose of trafficking

All three individuals were brought before a Justice of the Peace for a bail hearing. Wanderingspirit, Foy, and Seneca-Mcdonald were all released on $2500 promise to pay release order and are scheduled to appear in Camrose provincial court on July 8th, 2020.
