On Sunday at the Blackfalds Multiplex, the Victims & Survivors of Crime Community Information Fair was held.

Inside, numerous information booths were set up from various victim support companies, health groups, and the RCMP.

Louise Rellis, Admin Support for victim services, helped organize the event.

She said the event was mainly to inform the public about the different services available to them and help point people in the right direction.

"...Just also making people aware...what is available out there, the resources, the support, and the places people can go should they need help".

Blackfalds Deputy Mayor, Will Taylor was also there and touched on the importance of the different services.

He says the amount of support the different agencies provide should be better known to the people of the area.

The event featured a photo booth, music, a barbeque, and refreshments available for all who attended.

The Fair started at 12 pm and finished at 3.
