On Monday, January 7th around 3:45 pm Penhold Fire crews responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Minto St. and Robinson Ave.

Acting Penhold Fire Lieutenant Bailey McKay said “a Penhold volunteer firefighter who witnessed the incident gave medical assistance to one of the drivers and assisted the RCMP with putting the fire out on one vehicle prior to our arrival “.

One person was treated at the scene by EMS and released.

Penhold Fire Chief Jim Pendergast said “firefighters secured the scene, cleaned up fluids and debris and provided traffic management.

Four units and 11 firefighters responded”.

RCMP are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
