From Wetaskiwin RCMP:

The Wetaskiwin RCMP and Wetaskiwin General Investigations Section responded to an armed robbery at the FasGas in Millet that occurred shortly before 12:00 PM, on November 28th, 2017.

Two males came into the store, brandished a black and silver, sawed-off shot gun, and demanded money. The suspects took cigarettes, lottery tickets, lighters, chocolate bars, and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspects are described as follows:

Suspect #1

  • Caucasian Male
  • Over 6 feet tall, slim build
  • No facial hair
  • Glasses
  • Wearing a black toque, a grey hoodie under a black hoodie or jacket, and dark coloured pants

Suspect #2

  • Caucasian Male
  • Over 6 feet tall, slim build
  • No facial hair
  • Wearing a dark brown Carhartt jacket with the hood up, slim legged black track pants with a white stripe down the side, and all black sneakers.

The suspects left on foot heading west from the location. A witness described the two suspects leaving the area in two separate vehicles. One vehicle was a white, newer model SUV, possibly a Dodge Durango or Dodge Journey. The back window of this vehicle was smashed out. This vehicle was seen leaving southbound from the area.

The second vehicle was a new, white, Hyundai Elantra, Alberta Licence plate BSN 4694, which had been stolen from a vehicle in Edmonton. This vehicle left west bound on Highway 616 from the area.

No one was injured during this confrontation.

Police searched the area extensively for the suspects. This matter is still under investigation.
