An adult male and adult female were both found dead in Pigeon Lake on Friday.

Shortly after 1:00 pm on August 7th, 2020, an adult female was located deceased along the shoreline of Silver Beach near Milhurst Bay.

Wetaskiwin RCMP began searching the area with help from local fire departments, as well as EPS Air 1 and the STARS helicopters.

A short time later an adult male was located deceased along the same shoreline, with a kayak found in the same area. 

Police suspect both victims may have drowned as no foul play is suspected at this time, but they continue to investigate to determine what happened.

On Aug. 7, 2020 at approximately 1:10 p.m., Thorsby RCMP responded to a report of a possible drowning at Pigeon Lake.

An adult female was located along the shoreline of Silver Beach near Milhurst Bay and pronounced deceased at the scene.

Wetaskiwin RCMP police boat along with assistance of Mulhurst Bay and South Pigeon Lake fire departments, EPS Air 1 and STARS helicopter began searching the area.

Police located a deceased adult male along the same shoreline and a kayak was found a short distance away.

The investigation into their deaths continue. There is no indication that this is a criminal incident.  Further information from the RCMP will not be provided.
