One man has been linked to a break and enter, and charged with multiple offences after Innisfail RCMP were alerted to a vehicle in the ditch in Red Deer County.

On Jan. 6, at 5:55 a.m., Innisfail RCMP were called to a complaint of a break and enter at a local business in the town of Innisfail. While investigating that complaint, police received a call at 7:42 a.m. of a vehicle in the ditch in rural Red Deer County.

RCMP Members determined the male driver to be on outstanding warrants.  He was arrested, and during a search, the RCMP seized a quantity of suspected drugs and paraphernalia related to drug trafficking.

Further investigation led the police to locate and seize property that was determined to be stolen during the earlier break and enter.  The RCMP also found that the male’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by a drug.

Lee Michael Falsetta (34) of Sylvan Lake, Alta. has been charged with:

·         possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking x 2

·          break and enter

·          theft under $5000,

·          impaired operation of a conveyance,

·          Possession of Proceeds of crime

Falsetta was brought before a justice of the peace, and released to appear in Red Deer Provincial Court on Feb. 2, 2021.
