If you want your house to be in style this Christmas but have a tight budget to spend on decorations, look no further than the Sylvan Lake Community Partners Association, as they are hosting their Christmas garage sale from now until December 14th.

And if you are looking to declutter your decoration collection, they are now accepting donations of gently used items.

Representative Jen Baliant says this is a great opportunity for everyone involved and for them to keep their organization going.

“This is one of the fundraisers that we do. We do a garage sale twice a year, one in the summer and then one in November and December, because we have to raise a lot of our own money so we can keep our building, so we can stay here and help people within our community.”

Baliant says donations to the garage sale go a long way, and can really help to make some Christmas that much brighter.

“We use the money to either keep our building or put it towards helping people. Whether they need food, they need shelter, they need help with a bill, or just help with gas getting to work for the day.”

You can hop by their office at 4936-50th avenue during business hours until December 14th to check out the garage sale, with new items added daily.

Sylvan Lake Community Partners also hold many other great events throughout the year, including Christmas dinner ran by volunteers, Coats for Kids, and the Free Children Clothing and Equipment Swap.
