UPDATE: From Sundre RCMP

 

On the afternoon of September 7th, 2019, Sundre RCMP responded to a report of a missing male from Mountain Aire Lodge in Clearwater County. Terrance Kereluke of Regina, Saskatchewan, was last seen at approximately 9:00 a.m. on the same day,going for a walk. Staff members searched the surrounding area without locating him.

A follow-up search was conducted by Sundre RCMP members with the assistance of Police Dog Services and was unsuccessful. Sundre RCMP continued search efforts on the morning of September 8th, 2019, with the assistance of Search and Rescue, a search helicopter crew,and the fire services of Sundre and Clearwater County.

On September 11, 2019 at approximately 2:00 p.m., searchers located the body of Terrance Kereluke in the water near the shore of the Red Deer River. The exact cause of death at this time has yet to be determined and Sundre RCMP is currently working with the Office of theChief Medical Examiner. The matter remains under investigation but is not criminal in nature.

Sundre RCMP would like express appreciation to the many volunteers from Sundre, Didsbury, and Rocky Mountain House Search and Rescue groups, Sundre Fire Department, Clearwater Fire Services, and also to Ahlstrom Air Ltd. for the use of their helicopter.

Facility staff members searched the surrounding area without locating him. A follow-up search was conducted by Sundre RCMP members with the assistance of Police Dog Services and was unsuccessful.

Sundre RCMP continued search efforts on the morning of September 8, 2019, with the assistance of Search and Rescue, a search helicopter crew, and Fire Services of Sundre and Clearwater County.

Terrance Kereluke (61) is described as:

Police are asking for the public’s assistance to identify anyone who may have seen Kereluke or picked up an apparent hitchhiker matching Kereluke’s description in the area of Mountain Aire Lodge or the Forestry Trunk Road after 9:00 a.m. on Sept. 7, 2019.
