Students from Ponoka Secondary Campus are hoping you'll give generously to this year's Santa's Anonymous Campaign.

As part of that campaign they are hosting their annual Stuff A Bus event today, set up at both No Frill's and IGA in Ponoka collecting cash and non perishable food donations for their food hampers.

Teacher lead Karen David says the school has headed up this amazing community project for the last 35 years, and it's an experience that really stays with the kids "I've run into people over the years and people who graduated here you know 30 years ago, 25-20 years ago, and one thing a lot of the kids will say they remember helping out with Santa's Anonymous, putting the hampers together and delivering them, and it still has had a huge impact on them and that was 20 years ago".

Students are responsible for the collection campaign at local businesses, for organizing and wrapping all of the gifts and making the deliveries.

Today's Stuff-A-Bus event is on 9am to 8 pm.

Students will be collecting more non-perishable food and cash donations at their annual Santa Showdown Hockey Game where staff and students will square off December 13th at 6:30pm.
