Stettler and Stettler County Region on November 30th, moved into Enhanced Status (purple) on the Provincial Relaunch Status Map. There are 10 active cases and an active case rate of 80.3 per 100,000 people.

This status change includes all communities within the borders of the County of Stettler No. 6, including the Town of Stettler and the Villages of Donalda and Big Valley. The threshold for moving to Enhanced Status is an active case rate of at least 50 per 100,000 people with a minimum of 10 active cases.

Please note that the new measures for Enhanced Status communities will remain in place until at least December 15, regardless of whether their daily active cases would otherwise merit a change back to Open Status.

Effective November 24, the following measures are in place across Alberta: 

  • No indoor social gatherings in any setting 
  • Outdoor gatherings have a maximum attendance of 10 
  • Weddings and funeral services have a maximum attendance of 10, with no receptions permitted 
  • No festivals or events 
  • Working from home should be considered, where possible 
  • Grades 7-12 will be doing at-home learning between November 30, 2020 to January 11, 2021
  • ECS-Grade 6 at-home learning after break until January 11, 2021 Additional measures in place that affect our region under Enhanced Status include: 
  • Places of worship must operate at one-third capacity with mandatory masking in place
  • Restricted access to some businesses and facilities
