The Sunny 94, STARS Critical Care On The Air Radiothon has now raised over $32,000.

As of 6 pm Friday,  the total now sits at $32,675 with the online donations and auction pages still open until 9 pm.

Terri Eger, who is the Manager of Events and Community Engagement for the STARS Foundation is very happy with the result. "It was fantastic,we had so much support! The last donations coming in just capped everything off

Terri helped with the phone lines taking donations and was very busy at times.  "the support was overwhelming."

All of the money raised over the past 2 days will help keep them in the air. The air ambulance receives government funding but also relies on private donations to fund items outside of general operations. This includes ultrasound equipment and their blood on board service.

A special thank you to our major sponsors including Peavey Mart, NOVA Chemicals, Signet Monitoring and Analysis, Servus Credit Union, and Canadian Natural.

Once all the totals from the online auction have been added up, we will have a follow up story on Monday.

Thank you Central Alberta for all of your support.
