The special weather statement that was in effect all day Thursday was switched to a snowfall warning by the evening.

This means that 10-15 cm of snow is expected in Central Alberta, while high winds will affect areas south of us like Drumheller and Calgary, who are also under a snow squall warning.

Wind gusts between 40-60 km an hour are still expected for our area today, making the temperature drop even further thanks to the wind chill, which will make it feel closer to -10 Friday afternoon.
