Environment Canada has issued both snow squall and wind warnings for many parts of  Alberta including Central Alberta.

With the snow squall warning travel is not advised as visibility may be down to zero at times with heavy snow and blowing snow. Periods of brief but intense snowfall are expected.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.

In regards to the wind warnings for tonight, some parts of Alberta could see gusts up to 120 kms/hr.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
