The Rocky Mountain House RCMP have safely arrested Jamie Whitford, who was wanted on an arrest warrant.  His photo can now be removed from social media as a ‘wanted’ male.

Whitford was in police custody pending a court appearance on 2018-01-03.

His charges are before the courts and no further information will be provided.

Following an incident which occurred on December 18, the Rocky Mountain House RCMP have been issued an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Jamie Jerome Whitford.

At 7:15 p.m. on December 18, the RCMP received a report of a disturbance at a residence on the O’Chiese First Nation involving a gunshot.  Several people were inside the residence and fortunately no one was harmed during this incident.

RCMP responded and located the suspect male driving a black Chevrolet pickup truck.  Efforts were made to conduct a traffic stop, however, the male fled and the RCMP did not pursue.  A warrant has been issued for Jamie Whitford’s arrest.  He is facing charges including firearms charges, assault with a weapon and disobeying an order of court.

The RCMP are looking for assistance in locating Jamie Whitford, or having him turn himself in to the police.  It is believed that Whitford is in possession of a firearm, and caution is urged if anyone is in contact with him. 

Whitford is described as:

-          First Nations

-          5’9” tall / 140 lbs

-          Short brown hair / brown eyes

He was last seen driving a black Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, with an Alberta license of BWZ 2117.
