On Friday, July 6, 2018, three adults were rescued from the Ram River area after they became lost on a kayaking trip. Rocky Mountain House RCMP were contacted around 3:45 p.m., by the International Emergency Response Coordination Center. The Center had received an SOS signal from a handheld device in the Ram River area.

The complainant advised that the group of three were lost, low on supplies and one of them had sustained a minor injury. Emergency Services including police and the Rocky Mountain House Search and Rescue were dispatch to help. All three adults were located by helicopter by the Rocky Mountain House Search and Rescue. The group was located near the Ram River.

One of the adults had sustained a minor injury.
