Red Deer RCMP have obtained photos of a suspect who was caught on camera using a stolen credit card an hour after the home invasion in which the card was stolen.

The suspect in the attached photos used the stolen credit card at a convenience store at approximately 2 am on January 2, an hour after four men carrying baseball bats and a handgun entered an apartment on 33 Street and 47 Avenue and robbed the occupants.

The suspect appears to have tattoos on the backs of both his hands.

RCMP continue to investigate, and ask anyone with information about the identity of the suspect to contact Red Deer RCMP at 403-343-5575.

Red Deer RCMP are investigating three unrelated home invasions that occurred over the past ten days; while they don’t appear to be related at this point, all three appear to have been targeted.

RCMP received a report shortly before 11 pm on December 27 that two men entered a residence on Barrett Drive, produced a handgun and demanded money and other items.

The three occupants of the residence report that the two men searched the residence but left empty-handed; they were seen heading northbound on foot on Barrett Drive.

The first male suspect is described as 6'0" tall, wearing a dark brown trench coat, gloves, and a balaclava with cut out eye holes; he carried a black handgun and spoke with what may have been a French accent.

The second man is described as 5'3" tall and approximately 150 lbs; he wore dark clothing and a balaclava with eyes and nose printed on the fabric.

No one was injured in this incident. The investigation is ongoing, and police believe this was a targeted robbery attempt.

RCMP received a report shortly after 1 am on January 2 that four men had entered an apartment in a building located on 33 Street; several of the men were reported to be carrying baseball bats and a one carried a silver handgun.

They robbed the two male victims of cell phones, cash, wallets and a Play Station 4, and stole a Chevrolet Silverado truck belonging to one of the victims.

Both victims were assaulted during the home invasion and were taken to hospital for treatment of what is believed to be non-serious injuries.

The four suspects all wore black clothing and black toques, and had their faces covered with black balaclavas or bandanas.

Several of the men were seen leaving the scene in a black sporty-looking four-door car with silver rims and tinted windows; the others left in the stolen truck.

RCMP recovered the stolen truck shortly after 7 am the same morning, after it had been abandoned in the Morrisroe neighbourhood. While the suspects were not known to their victims, at this point in the investigation, RCMP believe this may have been a targeted incident.

RCMP were called to a third home invasion at 12:10 am on January 5 in response to a complaint that three masked men had demanded entry into a home on Terrace Park carrying baseball bats and a long-barrel firearm; once inside, they robbed the occupants of cash, electronics and other items including an acoustic guitar and a black and white Fender Stratocaster electric guitar.

The suspects stated they were looking for a specific individual who they wrongly believed lived at the residence. The suspects were not known to the victims. No one was injured in this robbery.

The man carrying the shotgun is described as about 6' to 6’2" tall, medium build, wearing a skull face mask, a black jacket and dark jeans.

The second man is described as about 5'10" tall with an average build and a scruffy face, wearing all black with a balaclava with red writing on it. The third suspect wore all black.
