Update #3:

From Red Deer RCMP: July 2nd, 2020:

Yesterday, Red Deer RCMP’s Crime Reduction Team and Police Dog Services arrested a male in Deer Park after an investigation led to a residence. 

The incident began when the male, a known prohibited driver and repeat offender, fled from police attempting to conduct a traffic stop.

Through intelligence-led policing, the male driver was identified to be in a house in Deer Park. A warrant was authorized for police to enter the home to arrest the male. 

Twenty-nine-year-old Zachary Purdy faces the following charges:

  • Flight from police
  • Two counts of dangerous driving
  • Three counts of driving while prohibited
  • Obstruction

Zachary Purdy remains in police custody.

Update #2:

The suspect was arrested by Red Deer RCMP shortly after 3 p.m. on July 1st, 2020.

Red Deer RCMP are on scene in a Deer Park neighborhood to execute a warrant. The suspect is wanted on a warrant for arrest.

Officers entered the home at approximately 2:00 PM on July 1st, 2020.
