Red Deer RCMP have arrested and charged a third person in the robbery and attempted robbery of two gas stations in the early morning hours of June 14.
As RCMP continued to investigate the circumstances surrounding the robberies, they identified a third suspect, a 16 year old male. A warrant was issued for his arrest, and the suspect voluntarily turned himself in to police at the downtown Red Deer RCMP detachment on June 17.
In accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, RCMP will not release the name of the youth, who made his first court appearance in Red Deer on June 19 and will appear in court next on July 6 at 9:30 am to speak to the following charges:
Criminal Code 344(a) – Robbery with firearm X 2
Criminal Code 87(1) – Pointing a firearm
