The annual Let's Talk, Red Deer event runs from 9:30-6.

Tara Shand with the City of Red Deer says there are a number of topics they're looking to engage with the public on.

“We have something we refer to as Neighbourhood Life where we’re just looking to citizens to talk to us a little bit about what they want to see to make their neighbourhoods better, we do have a survey on cannabis that will just be there from the perspective of we’ll have some iPad’s and things where we’re asking citizens to come online and share their thoughts about that, City Council will be doing some consultation on policing priorities”.

Shand says they'll have representatives ready to share information on a number of programs, services and projects.

“25 City of Red Deer departments and some community agencies, so there are some groups such as 211 that also sometimes join us, for example Alberta Transportation is there with some information about the overpass, the highway overpass, so we do have some other groups outside of city departments that come and chat with residents as well”.

Let's Talk runs from 9:30 until 6.
