On May 21, 2021, at 8:07 a.m., Blackfalds RCMP received a 911 call of an armed robbery that had occurred at a Petro Canada store in the area of Aspen Lakes Boulevard in Blackfalds.
Two males entered the store wearing face covering and what is believed to be a firearm demanding cash and other goods. A quantity of cash and goods were taken and the suspects fled the store in a 2009-2010 black or dark blue Dodge Ram 15000 Crew Cab pick-up truck.
One suspect was described as:
- Male
- Thin build
- Wearing a black white pattern bandana
- Wearing a black sweatshirt and plaid undershirt with jeans
- Wearing welding gloves
The other suspect was described as:
- Male Caucasian
- Neck tattoo on right side
- Thin
- Wearing a black toque
