Ponoka RCMP seek arrest warrants for suspects of armed robbery – UPDATE 2

 

Ponaka, Alberta – Ponoka RCMP would like to advise that on Sept.19, 2018, Maskwacis RCMP arrested two males wanted on outstanding warrants.

Catlin Ermineskin (27) is charged with one count of armed robbery. He has been remanded into custody and will be appearing in Ponoka Provincial Court today.

Kelly Ermineskin (30) is charged with one count of armed robbery. He was released after a judicial hearing and will be appearing in Ponoka Provincial Court on Oct. 5, 2018.

Ponoka and Maskwacis RCMP would like to thank the general public for their assistance.

 

From Ponoka RCMP:

Following an armed robbery which occurred on August 11 at Hammy’s Liquor Store in Ponoka, the RCMP have laid charges against one man and are seeking arrest warrants for two others.   

At 9:36 p.m., the Ponoka RCMP responded to an alarm at the liquor store.

It was reported that three males came into the store, one was masked and waving a knife at the store employee.

A second male allegedly stole liquor and the third male manned the door.  

All three males then fled in a vehicle.

At 1:00 a.m. the following morning, Ponoka RCMP were advised that one of the suspects was in custody in Maskwacis RCMP on an unrelated matter.

Maskwacis RCMP were able to assist in identifying the other two suspects.

Ponoka RCMP have arrested and charged 18-year-old Patrick Andrew Littlechild of Maskwacis with possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, disguised with intent to commit an offence and robbery. 

Littlechild remains in custody with his bail hearing scheduled for August 14 in the Provincial Court of Wetaskiwin.

Warrants of arrest are being sought for two other males from Maskwacis.  

Information about those males will be provided by the RCMP when the arrest warrants are granted.
