Update March 5/18:

On March 3rd, 2018 as a result of an extensive investigation Wetaskiwin RCMP located and arrested Brandon DENNEHY (24) years old of Wetaskiwin Alberta. He was arrested without incident.

DENNEHY has been charged with the following offences:

  • ·Robbery
  • ·Fail to comply with probation order X3.

He was remanded into custody and is appearing in court on March 6th, 2018.

The Wetaskiwin RCMP would like to thank the public for the assistance received in this investigation leading to this outcome.

From Wetaskiwin RCMP Feb 27/18:

On February 24th, 2018 Wetaskiwin RCMP were dispatched to an armed robbery at the Millet Liquor Store.  The male left the scene possibly in a black car before police arrived.

A tall, 150-190lbs aboriginal male, with stiches in right eyebrow, last seen wearing grey sweats and black jacket entered the store.

He selected a 1.75L bottle of Smirnoff and placed it on the counter. The male then instructed the employee to give him all the money in the till.

The male was holding a can of pepper spray. The employee handed over the cash and was not injured in the incident. The male was not located and patrols were made for the individual.
