From Penhold Fire Department:

Shortly after 3 am on Saturday December 22 2018 Penhold Fire crews were dispatched to a vehicle on fire near the intersection of Minto St. and Robinson Ave.

Firefighters arrived to find an older pickup truck fully involved.

Acting Fire lieutenant Bailey McKay said, " the truck was parked next to a holiday trailer so the quick actions of the first arriving unit's crew kept the exposure damage to a minimum."

Fire Chief Jim Pendergast said "the origin and cause is suspicious and the RCMP are investigating. The cold weather did cause problems with some of our equipment."

There were no injuries and 4 units and 15 firefighters were on scene for about 2 hours.
