Alberta’s RCMP are encouraging people to make use of their online crime reporting system for non-urgent matters in order to aid frontline members in focusing their efforts on high-priority calls.

These reports can be made in rural area as well as urban area and will be taken just as seriously as a crime reported in any other way. Alberta RCMP say the online service is especially effective for property crimes under $5,000.

Last year, 780 crime reports were submitted online saving many officers and staff time. It also helps officers decide how and where to deploy resources.
