On November 3, 2016, at approximately 3:25 p.m., Airdrie Rural RCMP was dispatched to a theft from a jewellery store at CrossIron Mills mall in Balzac.
 
The suspect male had stolen a ring and fled the Mall.
 
He was located and arrested shortly after by members at a nearby gas station.
 
The suspect was also associated to a stolen Audi A4 that was taken out of the Edmonton area.
 
The male was identified as 29 year old Ryan BABCOCK from Ponoka, and was subsequently charged with theft under, breach, and possession of stolen property.
 
He also had arrest warrants out of Edmonton for possession of a dangerous weapon.
 
Investigators are asking anyone who may have information regarding this occurrence to contact Airdrie RCMP at 403-945-7200.
