Pentagon Farm Centre is eager to show off their magnificent new building, and they will finally get a chance to do to that on June 20th after a little over two years of construction, starting from scratch.

This year marks the 35th year of operation for Pentagon Farm Centre, with locations in Red Deer, Leduc, Westlock, and here in Lacombe.

The new Lacombe location is located directly east of their old building, and is almost 4 times the size. You can actually put the old building inside the new buildings show room, and still have room to display tractors all around it.

The ground work began back in April of 2015, when DB Bobcat Services began moving more than 2500 tandem loads of black dirt from the location, and moving in more than 145,000 yards of sand.

Besides having a state of the art crane system within the building, it also has a number of roomy offices, a gym, a place for the kids to play, and rows of theatre seats which can be brought out for demonstrations, and put back into storage using the crane system.

Brian Williams is the owner of Pentagon Farm Centre here in Lacombe, and he says they take their name very seriously, with the pentagon shape being prominent throughout the building.

"We do have a contest on, how many pentagons are in this pentagon...after you do the tour, you can guess how many pentagon shapes are in this pentagon. There's nothing hidden, but you have to watch in the staircase there is some, the second floor is held up by pentagon pillars, the building is pentagon shaped, the front doors are pentagon shaped. Everything is designed around a pentagon."

Their grand opening goes Tuesday, June 20th from 9:30am until 6pm, with lunch starting at 11am.

Make sure you pick up an entry form at the front desk, so you can guess the number of pentagons and be entered to win one prizes for the correct guess.
