From Ponoka RCMP:

On Tuesday, August 14, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Rocky Mountain House RCMP pulled over a vehicle on O'Chiese First Nation.

The vehicle was being driven by a female wanted on arrest warrants. RCMP members arrested the female for her outstanding warrants.  

Subsequent to her arrest, RCMP members also located and seized a large amount of Methamphetamine and drug trafficking paraphernalia from inside the vehicle.

Melvina Saskatchewan, 48 years old, of O'Chiese First Nation, is currently facing the following charges:

Possession of Methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking – under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and failure to comply with a condition of recognizance (x 2)

Saskatchewan is remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in the Provincial Court of Alberta in Rocky Mountain House on September 19, 2018.
