There is an upcoming chance for you to nominate that hardworking kid or young adult you know who goes above and beyond in their community.

Leaders of Tomorrow is a Lacombe and District initiative that is being hosted this year by the Central Alberta Youth Unlimited group. On April 11th it will recognize those exceptional volunteers that make a difference in the community.

Dee Clark, who is responsible for Youth Engagement says they need to fill up their list.

“The biggest thing right now is that we are looking for people to nominate youth that they see as volunteers, or that does something really awesome like an act of kindness.“

Clark says it ranges from ages 6 to 21, so there is a big range of students who could get nominated.

“I love the idea of Leaders of Tomorrow these kid are really showing what leading today is, ”explains Clark, “It’s so important that people see volunteers and individuals who care about what they do and all the people around them.”

Nominations will need to be handed in by March 11th in order to be considered for the celebration.

Any student from elementary, junior high, high school, and post-secondary can be considered.

All nominees will receive a recognition certificate.
