The fourth year of Music in the Park concluded last night with a performance by Red Deer's SuperTrucker, who played in front of yet another large crowd outside the Lacombe Memorial Centre.

Ellen Corea sits on Music in the Park's planning committee. She says it's been a great season.

"We had some fabolous bands. The crowds have been wonderful. They've been getting bigger every year. Of course we had the great weather," Corea says.

When it rains, the event moves to the United Church. With concerts every week from June to August, Corea says they've only had to do that once this year.

She's happy to see how the LMC has become a buzzing hub of activity, not just with the music but also with the Lacombe Community Market and Tai Chi.

The LMC has become the place to go on Wednesday summer nights.

"I love that we do it throughout the whole summer rather than having a music festival where you're very dependent on the weather," Corea says.

Another large crowd showed up for Music in the Park outside the Lacombe Memorial Centre on Aug. 30.
