April 5 7:12pm - The RCMP are pleased to advise that Robert Murakami has been located. He is safe and well.


The RCMP is appreciative of all the support and assistance from the media and the public in this investigation.

RCMP in Airdrie and Red Deer are asking the public to help find a missing Airdrie senior citizen.

Robert Murakami, age 85 was last seen in Red Deer at 9:00 am this morning.

He was also believed to be seen in Blackfalds at 11:00 am.

Mr. Murakami was seen driving a silver 2002 Honda Odyssey van bearing Alberta Licence plate SZX-104.

He is described as:

- Japanese Male
- 5' 3" tall
-140 lbs
- Grey hair
-wearing glasses

Mr. Murakami is from the Airdrie/Calgary area but RCMP believe he travelled to the Red Deer region.

He may be disoriented and there is a general concern for his well-being.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the nearest RCMP detachment.
