The Central Alberta chapter of the Canadian Home Builders' Association handed out their annual hardware at the 2017 Excellence in Housing Awards Saturday in Red Deer.

Falcon Homes was crowned Builder of the Year Large Volume, building over 25 homes per year, while Platinum Homes secured Builder of the Year Small Volume.

In renovations, Bowood Homes received the top award for Renovator of the Year.

More than 30 awards were handed out including Partner Choice Awards which saw General Appliance in Lacombe named Supplier of the Year in the Small Category.
