On the 26th of April, at approximately 11:50 pm, Lacombe Police dispatch received a call of a break and enter in progress at a business located in the 4800 block and 46th street in Lacombe.

The information received was that an unknown male had walked into the parking lot and then crawled under the gate to the compound.

Police arrived on scene and set up containment with assistance from Blackfalds RCMP and the RCMP Police Dog Section.

Police began a search of the compound and located a male hiding on the roof of a trailer inside the compound. As a result the male was taken into custody. The male was charged with break and enter to the business and released on a promise to appear with a court date scheduled for June 9th, 2017.

On the 27th of April, 2017, at approximately 6:50 pm, Lacombe Police dispatch received a call of a break and enter in progress at a residence located in the 4700 block and 47th avenue in Lacombe.

Police attended and arrested a male inside the residence.

The male who is known to police was identified as the same male who had been released the evening before for the above mentioned business break and enter.

Further investigation into these two events resulted in Dale James HODDER (41yrs) from Lacombe being charged with 6 offences:

- Break / Enter with intent to a business
- Break / Enter with intent to a residence
- Uttering threats against a person
- Mischief under $ 5000 dollars
- Fail to comply with conditions of an undertaking
- Making a frivolous 911 call

HODDER was remanded in custody with his next court appearance scheduled for May 3rd, in Red Deer Provincial Court.
