The Royal Canadian Legion in Lacombe kicked off their annual Poppy Campaign today (Oct 28th).

Money donated during the campaign will be placed in a public trust fund and is used to improve life for people in our community.

This includes four one thousand dollar educational bursaries for students attending Lacombe Composite High School and Lacombe Christian High School.

Since 1921, the poppy has stood as the symbol of remembrance to never forget those Canadians who have fallen in war and military support operations.
