For some years, the Lacombe Farmer's Market was at Michener Park until it relocated to the Gary Moe Autogroup Sportsplex Arena.

This season the event has made a return to Michener Park, and some long-time customers are pleased with the change.

"I think that being outdoors in the fresh air is lovely, and it's easily accessible to everyone so this will be a nice beginning to start all over again," says former President of the Chamber of Commerce in Ponoka, Judith Knutson.

Some vendors at the market are also pleased with the outdoor setting.

Nine years returning, Lacombe resident Susanna Potter, who sells Filipino food at the market, thinks it feels like more than just a market when outdoors, it's more social.

"People want to be outside in the summertime you know?...this is in a good place too; you leave Lacombe and you see it, you come into Lacombe and you see it, this is a good social gathering for people, you know what I mean?"

The Farmer's Market will be running every Friday from 9 am until 1 from May 18th until October.
