On May 30, 2021 at approximately 7:35 PM Innisfail RCMP responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle near the Innisfail CO-OP Card lock. Attending members located the vehicle and tried to conduct a traffic stop but the vehicle fled from the police at a High rate of speed.  Members of the public who had witnessed the suspect vehicle driving dangerously throughout Innisfail assisted the Innisfail RCMP by providing updates of sightings of the vehicle. At one point while fleeing, the  vehicle had caused damage to its underside leaving a trail of fluid in its path. The vehicle, which was discovered to be stolen, was located shortly after in an alley between  45 and 46 Avenue in Innisfail.  Two suspects were seen by a witness running from this location on foot.

The RCMP Police Dog Services was utilized and tracked the two suspects to a local motel where they were later arrested after trying to change their appearance. As a result of the investigation, Christopher Lyle Hannah, a 45 year old male, and Christina Lynn Tiffin-Taylor, a 42 year old female  both from Innisfail, Alta have been jointly charged with

·         Flight From Peace Officer (x2)

·         Possession of Property obtained by crime

·         Fail to comply with a release order (X2)  

Christina Lynn Tiffin-Taylor is further charged with:

·         Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle

·         Drive while unauthorized

Plus additional charges under the Traffic Safety Act

Both Hannah and Tiffin-Taylor are schedule to attend Red Deer Provincial Court on  July 14, 2021.
