Shortly after 12pm Nov 17th, Penhold Fire Department responded to a single vehicle incident north of highway 42 on range road 280 in Penhold.

Fire fighters found a vehicle partially rolled in the deep water filled ditch with 4 occupants.

Penhold Fire Fighter Jesse Rochette said "the water was about 2 feet deep and the fire fighters had to make a bridge to get the occupants onto the road."

Rochette went on to say "they were soaking wet from falling while trying to get out of the vehicle prior to our arrival."

One patient was taken by Guardian ambulance to hospital with minor injuries and 3 were assessed and released on scene.

The road was temporary closed during the incident.

The road was extremely icy.

Innisfail RCMP are investigating the cause.

3 apparatus from Penhold Fire and one apparatus from Innisfail responded.
