After coming so close during the last election, Grant Creasy is once again running for Mayor of Lacombe.

In the 2013 election, Creasey fell short by just 63 votes to current Mayor Steve Christie.

Creasey says that experience has only made him stronger and believes he has what it takes to make Lacombe a better place to live.

“Alberta had probably, in the past decade, one of the biggest economic booms that we have ever witnessed and Lacombe has fall short. It’s very unfortunate because that has a significant impact on our taxation and impacts a lot of people.”

“I want to work diligently towards attracting new business to Lacombe and improve our rated growth.”

Creasey has spent the majority of his life in Lacombe, and said he understands what it takes to lead this City.

“I think my past experience, proven leadership skills, I’m pro-business, I’ve operated businesses in Lacombe and I’m committed to the success of my leadership through hard work and a willingness to do the right thing.”

Creasey joins Peter Bouwsema in the race for Mayor. The two sat on Lacombe City Council together from 2010-2013.
