On January 26, 2017 at about 10:30 Olds RCMP Detachment members attended Bowden after eye witnesses reported suspicious activity in their neighbourhood.

Members were advised of suspects moving items between two pick up trucks.

Police were able to locate one of the vehicles and the driver was arrested for possession of stolen property.

The passenger was also arrested upon police locating narcotics inside the truck.

Additional searches incidental to arrest have recovered stolen property implicating the suspects in theft and break and enter investigations over the past two weeks in the town of Bowden and surrounding area.

The investigation is ongoing however; Zach Bodman, a 24 year old Bowden resident has been charged with two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Section 354 of the Criminal Code and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine and Cannabis Hash) Sec. 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Charges were also laid against Jesse Beach, a 23 year old resident of Bowden, with one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Sec. 354 of the Criminal Code.
