Ryan Vold and his crew at the Wolf Creek Golf Course say they had a frustrating start to their day this past Monday morning.

He says they showed up to work to find 4 carts missing, and a few others destroyed.

Vold says the criminals were able to bypass the security cameras and removed the GPS system from the stolen carts.

Numbers 15, 45, 59 and 71 are missing from the course.

“It’s just too bad that this stuff has to happen out there, we’ve had some destruction to some of our subdivisions the last couple of days too to on some signage and stuff.”

He explained that the criminals hot-wired and then drove the carts over the greens. Luckily he says his team was able to fix up the greens just in time for a big Monday morning shotgun event.

“It’s really disappointing that this stuff is happening now but it is what it is.”

He says it will leave him a little shorthanded for the rest of the season, which tends to be one of their busiest times.

“It’s not like all the carts are gone I’ve got a lot of golf carts, it just might make it a little different on our timing and how we do things, its manageable it just changes the way were going to do things.”

If you have any information on the destruction or the whereabouts of the carts you are asked to call Ponoka RCMP or Crimestoppers.
