On April 15, 2017 at approximately 9:00 p.m., Didsbury RCMP responded to an armed robbery at a gas station in Carstairs, Alberta.

A male suspect parked a vehicle at a fuel pump and exited wearing a disguise.

The suspect approached an employee and brandished what was believed to be a firearm and then proceeded inside the gas station demanding money and merchandise.

The suspect then fled the area in the vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money before police arrived.

The male suspect is described as:

· Caucasian
· Approximately 5’6” – 5’7”
· Black hoddie and hat
· Dark jeans
· White shoes
· Sunglasses

The suspect vehicle is described as:

· Dark coloured Pontiac Gunfire

Police believe the suspect and vehicle were also involved with two other robberies that occurred in Lacombe on April 15 at approximately 11:54 a.m. and April 16 at 2:10 a.m.

The investigation's continue.

On April 16th, 2017 at 0210 hrs. Lacombe Police Service Members were flagged down by a staff member at Macs Convenience store, Located at 5001 52 Street.

Police were advised that two males had entered the store brandishing a firearm demanding cash and cigarettes.

Staff provided a description of the two males as follows:

Suspect #1:

Native Male
Approximately 20-25 years old
Skinny build, approximately 6’1” tall
Brown eyes
Wearing a black and red bandana covering his face, black hat, a grey or black jacket and jeans.

Suspect #2:

Male
Approximately 20-25 years old
Skinny build, approximately 5’7” tall
Weaing a Black balaclava, Black hat, Black jacket with the hood pulled up, black pants and white shoes.

The suspects were able to obtain a quantity cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes before being interrupted by a customer walking in.

The suspects then fled in the same Gold 1995-1998 Pontiac Sunfire as was used in a previous robbery in Lacombe.

At the time of this release the matter is still under investigation.


On April 15th 2017 the Lacombe Police Service received a report of an armed robbery at the Husky gas station, located at 5052 Highway 2A.

Police responded and learned that a male suspect had entered the store, brandishing a knife, demanding cash, and cigarettes.

The male suspect is described at

Approximately 6’ – 6’2” tall
Wearing a Black, flat brimmed ball cap, large dark sunglasses, with a black bandana covering his face, a baggy dark colored hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

The suspect was able to obtain a quantity of cash and lottery tickets before being interrupted by another customer and fleeing in a gold 1995-1998 Pontiac Sunfire which was operated by a second male and last seen travelling North bound on Hwy 2.

At the time of this release the matter is still under investigation.
