If you have ever had a concern about where your tax dollars are going here in Lacombe, now is your chance to let the City know about it.

For the second time, the City is seeking residents input on municipal services, by putting out the Citizen Budget Survey for community members to fill out.

Financial Services Manager for the City of Lacombe Justin de Bresser says a part of the survey gives residents a theoretical amount of money, and asks where you would like to see the money go.

“We allocate $100 to each person, and (ask) how that $100 will be allocated. Whether it’s going to parks and recreation services, or transportation services which include roads and getting around the city, parks and trail, all those type of things… and at the end of it we will wrap up our report and present it to council.”

Residents can also weigh in with their top three most important issues they believe are facing the city.

The results of the survey will be presented to Council prior to the budget deliberations in November. The results will also be made public.

You have until August 4th to fill out a survey, and they can be found by going to the City of Lacombe’s website.
