Former Superintendent Dr. Troy Davies resigned as of April 2nd after accepting a new role as the Chief Executive Officer of Catholic Social Services.

Bouchard has been serving as Acting Superintendent and is excited to maintain the current direction of the division.

“STAR Catholic is a very high performing division so my goal is to continue that great work and to just keep advancing the wonderful work that we are doing in the area of faith and around student learning and well-being”.

Bouchard says he's also looking forward to working closer with the Board of Trustees, and helping to lead their mandate.

“It’s important to follow the direction of the Board and listen to stakeholders, be it teachers, parents, students, take those stakeholder comments and feedback and weave those into the direction that the division is going.  It’s not something that you do by yourself in isolation; it’s always working with the stakeholders and the Board of Trustees, moves the division forward in that same method”.

Prior to his time with STAR Catholic, Bouchard served 4 years as an Assistant Superintendent in Holy Family Catholic Regional Division in Peace River.
