It is Alberta Culture Days and this weekend there is tons of cultural and artistic events to check out. Here’s a look at what is happening in the Central Alberta area. Lacombe

This weekend, you can head over the Agricultural Society Grounds located near the Research Station to check out most of these events. 

**Note: Friday’s Red Deer Aboriginal Dance Troupe at 1:00PM has been cancelled due to a family emergency. 

You can also check out the Lacombe and District Historical Centre's new home at the Flatiron Building downtown Lacombe for a chance to win some prizes from their new gift shop. It will be the last time you can check out the Michener House Museum and the Blacksmith's Shop before they're closed for the season.

Free Drive-In Movie

Friday, September 24, 2021 from 5:00PM - 11:00PM at All Star Park

Catch not one but two movies on Friday night and catch a bite to eat at a couple of food trucks. Cruella begins at 6:30PM and Jurassic Park begins at 9:15 PM. Only 200 vehicles permitted first come, first serve. 

 

Musical Firework Display

Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 8:00PM to 9:30PM at All Star Park 

Check out a fire work show put on by the Blackfalds Pyro Crew. Tune into 89.7 to enjoy a music pairing.
