From Calgary to Edmonton, Albertans woke up to a wallop of snow Friday morning, making driving conditions difficult and prompting 511 Alberta to advise against all unnecessary travel on the QE2 overnight from Calgary all the way up to Bowden.

School Closures for Friday, March 8th, 2019 due to the snow:

From Chinook's Edge Transportation: 
Due to the extreme snowfall, schools are closed in Sundre, Carstairs, Cremona, Didsbury, Olds, Olds Koinonia, and Reed Ranch. 
The buses are not running and schools are closed.

Due to the snowfall and road conditions, school bus service is cancelled on Friday, March 8th for the community of Olds.
The routes cancelled are S-59 & S-61.
