From the Town of Blackfalds:

Record breaking temperatures in February coupled with quick spring thaw has resulted in the depth of ground frost penetrating deeper than normal and in some instances causing water services or sewer services to the home to freeze. You may be able to detect an issue if you experience a drop in water pressure or no water at all.

Public Works crews are attending to those services affected as quickly as possible. If you suspect that the water or sewer service to your residence or business may be impacted by these conditions please call the Public Works After Hours call line at 403.340.9593.

Public Works crews are actively working on thawing services to the homes affected in order of receipt of the calls. If there is an issue with your sewer line at your house, you may need to contact a plumber to have your service thawed. The Town of Blackfalds appreciates the patience of those impacted.
