Although Light Up Blackfalds had to be cancelled, the Town of Blackfalds believes there is still lots to enjoy. The Tayles Park located just outside of the Civic Cultural Centre will have their usual  bright and engaging display but with a new surprise for Christmas enthusiasts.

This year, the town has decided to enhance the display with a brand new music show.

Additionally, instead of their regular light up countdown the town has created a behind the scenes video of Tayles Park’s light display.

"Each year, I see more families walking through our winter wonderland - laughing, joking, and enjoying the lights and the music. This year will be no different," shared Mayor Richard Poole. "This year our families will appreciate, more than ever, the park's beauty and the opportunity it gives us to put aside the year's many challenges in exchange for the love of family and friends. It is my sincerest hope that we can all celebrate the Christmas season as safely as possible in the best town in Alberta."

Blackfalds has been lighting up Tayles Park for 14 years. The light display will be up from November 20th to January 7th from 5:00PM until dawn. The musical addition to the display will only be in operation from Sunday to Thursday 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday and Saturday 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
