A robbery resulting in gunshots being fired has led to charges and arrest warrants for four adult males believed to be in the Rocky Mountain House area. RCMP are requesting the public for assistance in locating the suspects but warn the public to avoid confronting the men. 

An employee on an oilfield lease site saw two males drive away in his vehicle at 3:30PM on December 12, 2020. The worker attempted to stop the suspects, when he was struck by a different truck occupied by two other males. The victim ran for safety while one of the suspects fired multiple rounds at him. The four men fled the scene and the victim sought help. 

On December 13th, 2020 the victim’s truck was recovered while other truck was determined to be previously stolen. 

Rocky Mountain House RCMP’s General Investigation Section took carriage of the investigation alongside the Forensic Identification Section. Both supporting units gathered evidence and multiple witness statements. 

On February 11, 2021, charges were laid against 24 -year-old Darwin Anderson, 24-year-old Cruz Bigchild, 24-year-old Evan Thomas, and 18-year-old Dawson Whitford. All face charges related to robbery, firearms, and other charges. The four suspects have not been located by the RCMP 

RCMP are requesting that members of the public do not approach the suspects as they are considered dangerous.
