Investigators with the Alberta Ombudsman will be making stops in Central Alberta next week, to meet with people with complaints, questions, or concerns about the Provincial Government.

Its part of an effort for their office to get out and meet Albertans face to face, and teach them a little more about what they do.

Ombudsman Peter Hourihan says his office is sort of a last ditch effort for frustrated Albertans.

"So lots of times when they come to our office, they're at their wits end. But that's an opportunity for us to listen to their concern, and if warranted go in and have a look and make sure they were treated fairly. Then on the flip side, if we find something concerning in the process they experienced we can try and set that straight with government. By making sure they correct their measures or try and make sure that it doesn't happen again."

Anyone who feels they've been treated unfairly by an Alberta government department, agency, board, or anyone who'd just like to learn a little more about what the Ombudsman do can see him Tuesday in Red Deer, or Wednesday in Wetaskiwin.

"We're looking forward to anybody who wants to come in and have a conversation, learn more about our office, or has a particular complaint. Please feel free to come in. If you don't book an appointment don't think you can't come, we'll fit you in. We're just encouraging people to come out, and get our message out there whenever, and wherever we can. That way people know about our services, and can utilize them."
