July 15th new case numbers:

  • 82 new cases of the virus in the last 24 hours
  • 704 active cases in Alberta
  • 64 people are hospitalized with COVID-19
  • 7 people have been admitted to ICU’s with COVID-19
  • 8,127 total recovered cases
  • 0 new deaths in the last 24 hours
  • 163 total deaths from the virus
  • 552,276 tests have been performed in total 

Alberta.ca shows the following active cases in the Central Alberta area: 

In total, there are 61 active cases in the Central Zone

  • 5 active cases in the county of Lacombe
  • 3 active cases in the county of Red Deer
  • 8 active cases in the city of Red Deer 
  • 6 active case in the county of Ponoka
  • 11 active case in the county of Stettler 
  • 3 active case in the county of Mountain View 

The County of Stettler is now under the category of 'watch', which means the cases are now "above the threshold but no additional measures" have been put in place.
